Analog Input
Analog Input counts the line-level audio inputs feeding an active crossover.
These inputs receive the signal before the crossover divides it into frequency bands. Connections may use RCA, XLR or another supported format. Line inputs are distinct from speaker-level connections carrying an amplifier’s output power and from digital audio inputs.
Analog Input — Crossover
Match the source output to the crossover’s connector, wiring and accepted signal level. Check whether the stated count means individual channels or stereo pairs, and whether alternative connectors share the same input path. Two socket types do not necessarily provide independently selectable sources.
The count does not establish a built-in preamplifier, volume control or support for direct cartridge connection. Follow the intended signal path from source to crossover to power amplifiers. Input headroom and noise are separate performance characteristics; the number of sockets alone cannot show whether a particular source level will overload the input.
