Asynchronous USB

Asynchronous USB audio uses the audio device’s clock to govern sample timing rather than deriving it directly from USB frame timing.

Feedback tells the host the required data rate for playback. USB packets still transport buffered samples; their arrival timing is not itself the audio conversion clock.

Asynchronous USB — USB Reclocker

For a USB audio reclocker or interface, asynchronous operation identifies the audio transfer and clock arrangement. It is different from merely regenerating the electrical USB signal.

Check which interface or stage supports the mode. USB Audio Class, bus speed and connector type are separate properties, and asynchronous operation alone does not provide a numerical jitter specification.
