Auto On / Standby
Auto On / Standby indicates whether a subwoofer can wake when it detects a signal and enter standby after inactivity.
This can reduce the need to switch the unit on and off manually. Signal detection and the idle period are part of the implementation; the feature label does not state the trigger level, the waiting time or standby power consumption.
Auto On / Standby — Subwoofer
Check which input activates the function and whether the subwoofer offers an always-on setting or a separate trigger connection. Quiet material or a low source output may not behave like a stronger signal, so waking and sleeping behaviour should be checked in the actual system.
A delay before bass returns may relate to wake-up rather than a missing audio connection. Follow the model’s instructions before changing gain or input levels to address it. Automatic standby is not the same as disconnecting mains power, and it does not establish a fault whenever the subwoofer becomes quiet between tracks.
