Bass Management
Routing low frequencies from main audio channels to a subwoofer while sending the remaining frequencies to the main speakers.
Bass management divides reproduction duties between main speakers and a subwoofer. It redirects low frequencies from the main channels and filters the signals sent onward to those speakers. A separate low-frequency effects (LFE) channel can also feed the subwoofer.
Bass Management — Subwoofer
For a subwoofer, this specification identifies built-in management of the main channels, including multichannel routing and LFE handling. Relieving the main speakers of deep bass can reduce their low-frequency workload. Check the supported channel count, connections and crossover settings against your system.
Compare how the complete signal path is filtered, not merely whether an LFE socket exists. An input or low-pass control for the subwoofer alone does not provide main-speaker filtering. A stereo high-pass output is listed separately here. Correct crossover, level and phase settings still matter for smooth integration.
