Battery Charge Capacity

Battery charge capacity is the amount of electric charge the built-in battery can store, usually stated in milliampere-hours.

One ampere-hour equals 1,000 milliampere-hours. Charge capacity differs from stored energy: the battery voltage is also needed to relate ampere-hours to watt-hours.

Battery Charge Capacity — Digital Audio Player

For a portable player, this figure describes the internal battery rather than the hours of music available from a charge. The display, wireless connection and headphone output all draw power, so operating mode affects playback time.

Compare capacity alongside battery voltage and measured or specified runtime under similar playback conditions. A larger mAh value alone does not establish longer listening time across different players. Keep charging-case or external power-bank capacity separate from the player’s own battery, and distinguish capacity from the time needed to recharge it.
