Speaker Binding Posts
Speaker Binding Posts counts the pairs of terminals used to connect speaker cables to an amplifier.
Each pair has a positive (+) and negative (−) post. An amplifier with one pair for the left speaker and one for the right has two pairs: four individual posts, not two stereo speaker sets. Other connector types, such as SpeakON, are not included.
Speaker Binding Posts — Power Amp
Posts may accept bare wire, banana plugs or spade connectors, depending on their design. Check the amplifier’s manual for compatible cable ends. Disconnect power before wiring, match + and −, and keep loose strands from touching neighbouring terminals.
Extra pairs do not necessarily mean extra amplification channels. A/B outputs can carry the same left/right signals. Before using both sets together, check the manual’s permitted connections and speaker impedance limits; the number of posts alone does not establish safe simultaneous use.
