USB Connector Configuration
USB Connector Configuration identifies the plug types at the two ends of a USB cable.
Examples include Type-A to Type-B or Type-C to Type-C. The pairing must suit the ports on the source and audio device. Connector shape alone does not establish supported data rate, power capability or whether the cable carries the data needed for USB audio.

Check the role of each device and port. A DAC’s USB audio input needs a supported host connection; a charging or storage-only port may serve a different purpose despite using a familiar connector. An adapter changes fit but does not guarantee the required device support.
Confirm the cable’s data capability and the equipment’s connection instructions, including any length restrictions. A Type-C cable is not automatically equivalent to every other Type-C cable. The plug configuration also does not specify audio resolution or sound quality; those depend on the supported USB interface and the source and DAC operating together.
