Control App
Control App names the software the manufacturer provides or designates for operating the product.
Here, the field excludes music-service apps, Roon and merely compatible third-party controllers, even though these may also control playback. Supported operating systems are listed separately under Control App Platforms.
Control App — Streamer
A streamer’s app can help you browse music, manage playback and change player settings. Available functions depend on the app and player.
Check that the app supports your phone or tablet’s operating system, includes your chosen music services and works with any accounts those services require. An app name alone does not promise every service or feature.
The app may need permission to access your local network to find the streamer. New features can also require updated player firmware, the software running inside the streamer. Check both app and firmware support; updating the app alone may not be enough.
