DAB Antenna Input

DAB Antenna Input counts the external aerial connections provided for DAB or DAB+ radio reception.

These connections commonly use a coaxial socket, often with a specified impedance and connector type. The aerial supplies the tuner with a radio-frequency signal. It is separate from a digital audio output, which sends decoded sound to another audio component.

DAB Antenna Input — Tuner

Match the aerial and cable to the tuner’s input requirements. Placement, local coverage and obstructions can affect reception even when the connector fits. The presence of a DAB aerial socket does not by itself establish which broadcast variants the tuner decodes or which stations are available in your area.

Check whether DAB and FM share an aerial connection or use separate sockets. A combined connection should not be mistaken for two physical inputs. The count also does not state whether an aerial is supplied. Keep reception-format support, connection hardware and included accessories separate when comparing tuners.
