DAC Architecture / Chip
DAC architecture describes the conversion design or chipset used to turn digital audio into an analogue signal.
The architecture can identify a general conversion approach or the specific converter chip. It is one part of the complete signal path, alongside filtering, clocking and analogue circuitry.
DAC Architecture / Chip — Headphone Amp
In a headphone amplifier with an integrated DAC, this specification describes the digital-to-analogue conversion section. It is separate from the amplifier stage that supplies voltage and current to the headphones.
Compare the stated conversion approach or chip with the functions you need, then check the actual input-format support and output measurements. The same DAC chip can appear in products with different implementations. A chip name alone does not establish headphone power, noise level or an audible performance ranking.
