DC Output Connector

DC output connector describes the physical connections through which a power supply delivers power to equipment.

Barrel plugs need both outer and inner dimensions; similar-looking sizes may not fit correctly. Other supplies use USB, multi-pin connectors or screw terminals. A separately listed IEC C13 AC outlet is a mains output, despite appearing beside DC connections.

DC Output Connector — Power Supply

Match the output connector to the device's power input, then check voltage, polarity and available current. Multi-pin connectors and proprietary umbilicals also need the correct contact assignments. The supply's own mains inlet serves the opposite side of the power path and is not an equipment output.

Compare the actual lead or interchangeable tip supplied for the output you will use. A barrel plug that fits does not prove correct polarity, and a familiar USB or XLR shell does not establish the required power behaviour. Connector type alone cannot make an incompatible supply suitable for the device.
