Material
Device Material identifies the main material used in an isolation or damping foot.
A foot may combine a metal housing, compliant insert and separate contact surface. The main material label does not necessarily describe every part or identify which element provides the intended isolation.
Material — Damping Feet
Check the complete construction and supported load, particularly when a soft element carries the equipment. Geometry, material properties and loading together determine how the foot responds; simply choosing metal, rubber or another material does not specify that behaviour.
Also check compatibility with the supporting surface and the equipment’s mounting points. The material description is useful for understanding construction and care, but load capacity and measured isolation performance need their own information.
