Digital Output Capabilities by Interface
Digital output capabilities identify the audio formats and limits supported by each output interface.
The same device can provide different PCM sample rates, bit depths or DSD transfer methods on different outputs. A single overall maximum does not describe every connection.
Digital Output Capabilities by Interface — Upscaler
For an upscaler, these limits determine which converted signal can reach the DAC through the selected output. A format the upscaler can generate internally is useful only if the chosen connection and receiver support it.
Compare the exact interface, PCM limits and DSD method on both devices. Keep native DSD distinct from DoP and preserve any mode-dependent restrictions. Connector names or counts alone do not establish format support, and an input-format list should not be treated as the output’s capability.
