Bone Conduction Drivers (Per Side)

The number of bone-conduction vibration drivers fitted to one earpiece alongside its other sound drivers.

A bone-conduction driver adds a vibration path through the earpiece’s contact with the listener, alongside sound delivered through the air. Here the number describes these supplementary drivers in one earpiece. It is separate from the count of conventional acoustic drivers.

Bone Conduction Drivers (Per Side) — Headphone

In a hybrid earphone, the vibration driver works as part of the earpiece. Its contribution depends on how the shell and contact arrangement couple to the wearer, so fit matters alongside the driver specification. The count does not state which frequencies the driver handles.

Compare the same per-side basis and check the manufacturer’s description of the driver’s role. A greater count does not establish stronger bass or better detail. Do not infer this driver from a vent, microphone or shell feature, and do not equate a hybrid in-ear design with a sports headset using bone conduction alone.
