Dual AES Output

Dual AES Output indicates whether a product can send digital audio through two AES/EBU connections working together as one output.

Yes means documented support for this paired mode. Two AES sockets alone do not establish support: they may carry duplicate single AES signals. No requires an explicit single-wire-only statement; missing information means unknown.

Dual AES Output — Streamer

A streamer can use Dual AES to send audio to a compatible DAC, which converts digital audio to analogue. Paired operation can carry higher sample rates than a single connection, where supported.

Use two digital AES/EBU cables, following the numbered order in both manuals: output 1 to input 1, output 2 to input 2. Check the streamer’s output mode and the DAC’s paired-input mode together. Both ends must support the intended audio format and sample rate. A yes guarantees neither a particular rate nor better sound.
