Dual-BNC Output

Dual-BNC output counts paired BNC connections that together carry one supported dual-wire digital audio stream.

Each paired link counts as one output, even though it uses two physical sockets. A matching dual-wire receiving interface is required.

Dual-BNC Output — Upscaler

On an upscaler, a dual-BNC link can carry a supported high-rate stream to a compatible DAC. Both connections belong to the same link and must be connected according to the devices’ specified arrangement.

Compare the named dual-wire protocol and supported output rates with the DAC, not merely the presence of BNC sockets. Two ordinary coaxial outputs do not automatically form a dual-BNC link. Word-clock sockets also use BNC connectors but carry timing, not this audio stream. Keep one paired output distinct from two independent audio outputs.
