Electrostatic Headphone Output

Electrostatic Headphone Output counts the dedicated sockets provided to drive compatible electrostatic headphones.

These outputs supply the drive and bias arrangement required by electrostatic headphones. They are different from ordinary headphone jacks and balanced XLR headphone outputs used with other driver types. Socket shape and pin count must be considered together with the supported bias standard.

Match the headphone to an output explicitly approved for its connection and bias requirements. Similar-looking connectors or a matching brand name are not enough to establish compatibility. Do not adapt an ordinary headphone output to an electrostatic headphone merely because a mechanical adapter appears possible.

Count each electrostatic socket separately and retain any stated standard alongside it. Multiple sockets do not necessarily provide independent volume controls or permission to use every output simultaneously. The socket count also does not specify output capability, noise or sound quality. Use the model’s operating instructions rather than treating the count as a complete compatibility description.
