Thread Size
Feet Thread Size specifies the threaded connection used to attach a foot to the equipment chassis.
The designation includes a thread system and dimensions, such as a metric size or an imperial diameter and threads-per-inch value. Matching diameter alone is insufficient: the thread pitch and available engagement must also be compatible.
Thread Size — Damping Feet
Check the chassis insert and the permitted insertion depth before fitting a replacement foot. A stud that is too long can contact something inside or fail to seat properly. Do not force a thread that starts unevenly or resists turning.
The thread specification describes the mounting interface, not the foot’s load capacity or adjustment travel. Confirm the complete mounting arrangement, including any locknut, spacer and support requirements, using the equipment and foot instructions.
