Foldable

Foldable indicates whether headphone earcups fold inward or swivel flat to make the headphone easier to transport.

Folding usually reduces the space needed for storage, while a flat-swivelling design changes the shape of the packed headphone. These mechanisms differ, so a yes/no entry does not specify the final dimensions, the hinge arrangement or whether a case is included.

Check the actual folded shape against the bag or case you intend to use. Follow the intended hinge movement and avoid trapping the cable between moving parts. A swivel used for fitting the cups to the head may not provide the same compact shape as an inward-folding mechanism.

Foldability does not measure comfort, durability or sound quality. Nor does it guarantee that the headphone can be packed safely without a protective case. Compare the stored dimensions and the manufacturer’s handling instructions when transport matters; the feature label alone cannot show how the hinges withstand repeated use.
