Frame / Column Material
Frame Material identifies the material used for a rack’s supporting frame or columns.
Common descriptions include steel, aluminium, wood or combinations of materials. This is separate from the shelf material and from a decorative finish. A painted metal frame remains metal; its colour alone does not identify its construction or structural properties.
Frame / Column Material — Rack
The frame works with its joints, supports and shelves to carry the equipment. Its dimensions and construction matter alongside the material, so a material name alone cannot establish load capacity, stiffness or resistance to tipping. Use the rack’s actual ratings and assembly requirements for those decisions.
Check which parts the description covers, especially when the rack combines metal columns with wooden shelves or uses a surface veneer. Hollow and solid members can share a material label while behaving differently. Do not infer a particular sonic effect or vibration-isolation performance from the material name; those claims require information about the complete design and its use.
