Headphone Output Power into 600 Ohms (Balanced)

This is the continuous power per channel available from a balanced headphone output into a 600-ohm load.

A high-impedance load requires substantial voltage to reach a given power. This rating therefore helps describe the output's voltage capability. It does not predict listening level on its own: headphone sensitivity and the recording's level also matter.

Headphone Output Power into 600 Ohms (Balanced) — Headphone Amp

The figure belongs to the balanced headphone output measured into 600 ohms. A large power rating into a much lower impedance does not establish the same capability here, because the amplifier may reach a voltage limit before a current limit. Check the output you plan to use.

Compare continuous per-channel ratings with the same distortion ceiling, gain, operating mode and channels-driven condition. Keep different connector ratings separate where stated. A balanced socket does not guarantee adequate voltage, and a quoted maximum voltage is not itself a power measurement. Peak or music-power figures describe different operating conditions.
