High-Current Outlets

High-Current Outlet Count identifies sockets designated for equipment with higher current demand, such as power amplifiers.

These outlets may use a different filtering arrangement or bypass part of the filtering used elsewhere. The high-current label needs the product’s stated ratings; it does not mean unlimited current or a separate supply independent of the unit’s overall limit.

High-Current Outlets — Power Filter

Connect equipment to the outlet group specified by the conditioner’s instructions. Check both continuous demand and any relevant startup requirements. A dedicated socket cannot increase the available capacity of the incoming mains circuit.

Keep the number of designated outlets separate from their combined current limit and protection features. Do not assume that a high-current outlet is unfiltered unless the design says so. Its purpose is a supported load arrangement, not a guarantee of an audible improvement.
