Mains Inlet Connector
Mains inlet type identifies the equipment-side socket that accepts the unit’s power cable.
IEC inlet designations describe a specific fitting. The mating cable connector and its electrical rating must suit that inlet; the wall plug is a separate requirement.
Mains Inlet Connector — Power Regenerator
On a power regenerator, the inlet receives the incoming mains supply used by the unit. Its fitting determines which equipment-end power-cable connector can be used, independently of the outlet types supplying the connected components.
Compare the inlet designation with the cable’s mating connector and rating. Similar-looking IEC fittings are not automatically interchangeable. Keep input-voltage requirements separate: a connector that fits does not establish that the regenerator is configured for the available mains voltage.
Mains Inlet Connector — Power Filter
On a power filter, the inlet connects the filter to the incoming supply. A detachable-cable inlet allows an appropriately rated cable with the correct mating connector and regional wall plug to be selected.
Compare the exact inlet format and the filter’s electrical requirements before replacing a cable. The number or type of output sockets does not identify the input connector. Do not force or modify a connector to fit; physical and electrical compatibility both matter.
