Maximum Number of Tonearms

The greatest number of tonearms the turntable is designed to accommodate at the same time.

Maximum arm count describes simultaneous mounting capacity. It is separate from the number of arms supplied and from a list of alternative arms that can occupy a single mounting position.

Maximum Number of Tonearms — Turntable

For a Turntable, multiple arm positions can support different cartridges or playback arrangements without exchanging the fitted arm each time. Using those positions may require additional armboards, bases or other manufacturer-supported fittings.

Read the stated maximum and the configuration needed to reach it. Optional mounting hardware can contribute to supported capacity even when it is not included in the standard package. Do not infer additional positions from spare space or product photographs alone.

Compare capacity with your intended arms. Each position still needs compatible mounting and geometry. Extra positions do not establish better speed performance or sound, and supported arms are not necessarily supplied.
