Measurement Microphone Included

Measurement microphone included states whether a microphone for acoustic setup is supplied with the equipment.

A measurement microphone captures the system's response at a listening position for calibration or adjustment. Inclusion describes the supplied package, not the existence of a microphone input or the quality of the correction process. Required accessories may otherwise need to be obtained separately.

Measurement Microphone Included — Equalizer

A supplied microphone can allow an equalizer's measurement or room-correction procedure to begin without sourcing that accessory separately. The system uses its readings to help assess the loudspeaker and room response. The microphone's presence does not mean that correction is automatic or that every measurement accessory is included.

Compare the stated box contents and calibration procedure, including any required stand, interface or calibration file. A microphone socket alone does not prove a microphone comes with the unit. Nor does support for room correction settle the question. An explicitly optional microphone is separate from the supplied configuration.

Measurement Microphone Included — Crossover

For an active crossover, a calibration microphone can support measurements used when integrating drivers, loudspeakers or a subwoofer. Whether the unit performs automatic adjustment or only supplies measurement tools depends on its design. The included microphone is an accessory provision, not a guarantee of acoustic alignment.

Compare the supplied package with the documented setup requirements, including microphone compatibility and any external measurement software. Do not assume that a crossover with room correction includes its microphone, or that any microphone can replace the specified type. Settings such as crossover frequency, level and delay still depend on the system being measured.
