Host Player
Host player identifies the digital audio players for which a separately sold amplifier module is designed.
A plug-in amplifier module depends on its host for fit, electrical connections and operating support. It is not a universal external headphone amplifier. A matching manufacturer or similar-looking slot alone does not establish compatibility between a module and player.
Host Player — Headphone Amp
For a replaceable player amplifier module, the host list tells you which players can accept and operate it. The module can change headphone connections or amplification characteristics while relying on the player's digital and power systems. Compatibility therefore belongs to the module-and-player combination.
Compare the supported player models and any stated installation or software requirements. A player mentioned only as a comparison is not a supported host, and a headphone the module is intended to drive is not its host. Check the module's output specifications separately; compatibility does not imply that every module provides the same performance.
