Network Connectivity
Network Connectivity identifies the wired or wireless interfaces a tuner uses to connect to a local network.
Ethernet normally uses a cable connection, while Wi-Fi connects through a wireless network. These interfaces provide a route to compatible network services. They are different from Bluetooth audio and from the applications or streaming protocols that may use the network connection.
Network Connectivity — Tuner
For internet radio, the tuner needs a working network path to the internet as well as support for the desired service. Check the supported Wi-Fi bands or wired connection requirements and whether the setup suits the available router and cabling. An interface label does not guarantee coverage or reliability in every room.
Ethernet and Wi-Fi support do not by themselves establish AirPlay, Chromecast or a particular music service. Confirm those functions separately. Likewise, a networking protocol name does not identify the interface. Compare the actual available connections and their setup requirements rather than treating every wireless feature as interchangeable.
