Number of Isolators / Feet
Number of isolators counts the isolation feet or supporting isolation points in the stated arrangement.
The number describes support layout. It does not alone establish total load capacity or the amount of vibration reduction.
Number of Isolators / Feet — Damping Base
On an isolation base, the count identifies how many isolation points support the platform. These points are part of the platform’s designed load distribution and may be adjustable or positioned in a specified pattern.
Compare the count with the complete base design rather than treating each point as an interchangeable extra foot. Check whether a quoted quantity describes installed isolators or optional additions. More points do not automatically mean a higher load rating or better isolation.
Number of Isolators / Feet — Damping Feet
For a set of isolation feet, the count tells you how many supports are supplied or used beneath the component. Their placement must provide stable support while distributing the load within each foot’s working range.
Compare set contents and the intended installation together. A price or specification for one foot should not be read as a complete set. Adding more feet changes the load on each, so it can change the operating condition of compliant supports rather than simply improving performance.
