Omnidirectional Dispersion

Omnidirectional Dispersion indicates a design intended to radiate sound around the unit rather than mainly in one forward direction.

The description needs its angular plane and frequency range. Radiation around the horizontal plane does not mean identical output above, below and in every direction. Dispersion can also change with frequency.

The radiation pattern affects how direct and reflected high-frequency sound reach the listening area. Placement, nearby surfaces and the main speakers’ behaviour all influence the combined result. A broad radiation claim does not guarantee uniform sound at every seat.

Look for angular response information where available and follow the specified orientation. Keep dispersion separate from the upper frequency limit and output-level setting. An omnidirectional arrangement is a pattern of radiation, not proof of an audible improvement or compatibility with every room.
