Output Voltage Regulation
Output Voltage Regulation describes how closely a regenerator maintains its intended output voltage, expressed as a percentage variation.
The reference voltage, input conditions and load range define what the percentage means. A ± tolerance is different from a total variation span. Smaller figures indicate tighter regulation only when those conditions and definitions are comparable.
Output Voltage Regulation — Power Regenerator
Check whether the specification covers changes in load, incoming voltage or both. The unit can only maintain its output within its operating limits; overload protection or another response may occur outside them.
Regulation does not describe waveform distortion, brief transient behaviour or the maximum output capacity. It is also separate from the user’s ability to choose an output voltage. Keep the regulation conditions attached to the number rather than treating it as a universal measure of regenerated-power quality.
