Over/Under-Voltage Shutdown

Over-/Under-Voltage Shutdown indicates whether a power device disconnects its outputs when the incoming mains voltage falls outside specified limits.

The function responds to excessive or insufficient voltage rather than maintaining a corrected output continuously. It is distinct from voltage regulation and from protection against very brief surge events.

Over/Under-Voltage Shutdown — Power Filter

Check the shutdown thresholds, response conditions and how power is restored. Some designs reconnect automatically after a delay; others require action. The feature label alone does not establish those behaviours or guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Connected equipment should be suitable for the resulting power interruptions and restart sequence. A shutdown does not identify the underlying cause of a supply problem. Follow the product’s instructions if it repeatedly disconnects, and do not bypass protection or alter mains wiring to keep the system running.
