Per-Output Phase Invert
Per-Output Phase Invert indicates whether an active crossover can reverse the polarity of an individual output.
Polarity inversion reverses the signal’s positive and negative direction. Although often labelled phase inversion, it is different from adding a time delay or applying a continuously variable phase adjustment. The feature concerns a selectable change, not a measurement of the output’s phase response.
Per-Output Phase Invert — Crossover
The setting affects how overlapping driver outputs combine around a crossover. The suitable polarity depends on the filter arrangement, driver connections and acoustic behaviour. A louder result at one frequency alone does not establish correct integration across the whole transition region.
Check the intended wiring and crossover design before changing the setting, and keep the comparison conditions consistent. Inverting an output does not correct a wrong frequency band, inadequate filtering or every timing difference. The feature entry also does not state whether settings are independent for left and right channels in each operating mode.
