Station Presets

Preset Memory is the number of radio stations or tuning selections a tuner can store for recall.

Presets reduce the need to tune or search for the same station repeatedly. The capacity may be shared across reception modes or divided into separate banks, so a total count needs the model’s explanation of how those locations are allocated.

Check whether FM, AM, DAB and internet stations use the same list and how presets are selected. Direct front-panel buttons, a remote and an app can provide different access to the stored entries. More locations can help with a large station list, but do not establish easier operation.

A stored selection does not guarantee that a station remains receivable or available. Broadcast changes, location and network-service changes can affect playback without changing the memory count. Also distinguish user presets from a scanned list of detected stations; the size of one list does not necessarily state the capacity of the other.
