Proprietary Link Input
Manufacturer-named digital link systems a DAC supports, such as HS-LINK or ES-LINK.
This entry excludes standard USB, HDMI, S/PDIF, AES/EBU, I2S and ordinary optical connections. ES-LINK Analog is excluded because it carries analogue audio. A familiar HDMI, network or USB connector shape does not establish protocol compatibility.
Proprietary Link Input — DAC
Use both devices’ manuals to match the source output to the DAC’s supported link. Check the exact models, link version, required cables and supported audio formats and sample rates. A matching brand name alone is not enough.
Some systems need a companion connection: Denon Link HD requires HDMI as well. The listed names identify connection systems, not a universal compatibility standard.
A blank entry means no proprietary link is specified, not that the DAC has no digital inputs. The link name alone does not establish better sound quality.
