Continuous Output Power

Continuous Power Rating is the apparent power an AC regenerator is rated to supply continuously, expressed in volt-amperes.

VA combines the RMS voltage and current requirement of the load. It is different from real power in watts; the relationship depends on the load’s power factor. Keep the stated unit and operating conditions with the rating.

Continuous Output Power — Power Regenerator

Check the combined demand of the connected equipment and any per-outlet or per-zone restrictions. A continuous rating describes sustained operation, while startup demands or brief peaks may need separate capacity. Both limits can matter for a system containing power amplifiers.

Do not compare a VA rating directly with a watt figure as if they were identical. Output voltage, ambient conditions and ventilation can affect the applicable rating. The capacity figure does not describe voltage regulation or waveform distortion; it establishes a supported loading condition.
