Regenerator Method
Regenerator method describes whether an AC power regenerator draws energy from the mains while operating or produces its output from a battery.
A regenerator creates a new AC waveform. A mains-powered design converts incoming power and generates the output again; a battery-powered design can supply its output while disconnected from the mains.
Regenerator Method — Power Regenerator
The method affects installation and operating time. A mains regenerator needs a live supply during use, while off-grid operation depends on stored battery energy and the connected load. Either arrangement still has limits on output voltage, sustained power and short-term demand.
Compare those ratings and, for battery operation, runtime and charging arrangements. A filter, isolation transformer or voltage regulator does not necessarily regenerate the waveform. Battery presence alone does not prove off-grid audio operation. The method also does not establish lower noise, lower distortion or an audible improvement in every connected component; those require separate evidence.
