Remote Control
Remote control means supported functions can be operated from a separate handheld controller.
The control method, supplied hardware and available commands are separate details. Remote support is not automatically the same as phone-app or network control.
Remote Control — Tuner
A tuner remote can provide supported station selection, preset recall or tuning functions from the listening position.
Check which functions are available on the handset and whether it is supplied. A remote-control feature does not establish app control or reception of additional radio services.
Remote Control — CD Transport
A CD transport remote can operate supported playback and navigation functions without using the front panel.
Compare track selection and other available controls, and check whether the handset is included. A system remote may control other components only through a specified compatible arrangement.
Remote Control — Preamp
A preamplifier remote can provide supported volume, mute and input-selection controls from the listening position.
Compare which functions it operates and whether the handset is supplied. A remote socket or system-control connection is not necessarily a complete handheld remote, and app control is a separate feature.
Remote Control — Tape Deck
A cassette-deck remote can operate supported transport functions such as play, stop or winding. The cassette still needs to be loaded according to the machine’s normal arrangement.
Compare recording controls and direction selection separately from basic playback commands. A control connection for a larger system may require a specified controller rather than an included standalone handset.
Remote Control — SACD Transport
An SACD transport remote can operate supported playback functions and, where provided, disc-layer or playback-mode selection.
Compare the actual controls needed for the discs you use. Remote support alone does not establish every playback mode, and a compatible handset supplied with another model should not be assumed interchangeable.
Remote Control — Phono Preamp
A phono preamplifier remote can change supported settings without reaching the component. Depending on the design, these may include input selection, loading or gain.
Compare the specific adjustable functions rather than assuming every cartridge setting is available remotely. Remote control does not necessarily mean the unit includes a listening-volume control for the complete system.
Remote Control — Streamer
A streamer remote can provide supported playback and navigation controls without opening an app. Its functions may cover only part of the full library or service interface.
Compare handset functions with the browsing tasks you need and check whether it is included. A remote does not automatically replace the app for setup or account access.
Remote Control — DAC
A DAC remote can operate supported input selection, filter settings or output-level controls. Its exact role depends on whether the DAC includes variable-output operation.
Compare the available functions rather than assuming every DAC remote controls volume. Remote support does not by itself establish preamplifier functionality or compatibility with another manufacturer’s handset.
Remote Control — Reel-to-Reel
A reel-to-reel remote can operate supported transport or recording functions from a separate position. It may use a cable or another specified control connection.
Compare the available commands, connection method and whether the controller is included. Remote operation does not automate threading the tape or establish that all recording adjustments can be changed from the controller.
