Replaceable Ear Pads

Replaceable Ear Pads indicates whether the headphone’s pads or ear tips can be removed and replaced without damaging the earcup or shell.

Replaceability can help restore a worn contact surface or change a damaged tip. It does not mean that every pad or tip of a similar size is compatible. The attachment method and the dimensions around the driver or nozzle must also match.

Replaceable Ear Pads — Headphone

Use a replacement intended for the specific model and follow its fitting instructions. Pads and tips affect the seal, the distance from the driver to the ear and the way sound reaches the listener. Different materials or shapes can therefore change comfort, isolation and tonal balance.

Check whether compatible replacements are available and whether fitting them requires any special procedure. A yes entry describes a replaceable part, not a promise of indefinite spare-parts availability. Do not force a part onto an unfamiliar mounting or assume that replacing pads guarantees the original acoustic performance.
