Resampling Modes
Resampling modes are the selectable ways a device changes or preserves the rate and format of digital audio.
Options can include selected output rates, format conversion and bypass. Their exact meaning depends on the mode description rather than the presence of an upsampling label alone.
Resampling Modes — Upscaler
An upscaler’s modes determine how the incoming signal is processed before it reaches the output. A fixed-rate setting and a setting that follows the input’s sample-rate family can produce different output behaviour.
Compare each mode’s accepted input and resulting output, including any synchronous or asynchronous conversion conditions stated. Confirm that the selected output interface and DAC support the result. Bypass may disable a particular conversion without disabling every other processing function, so check what the mode actually bypasses rather than assuming an entirely unchanged signal path.
