Room Correction / Auto-EQ

Room Correction indicates whether a subwoofer includes automatic processing that adjusts its output for the listening room.

The system uses measurements or an app-guided setup to choose supported adjustments, such as equalisation or level. Equalisation changes the balance between frequencies. The exact process, required microphone and available controls vary, so a yes entry does not establish a particular correction method.

Room Correction / Auto-EQ — Subwoofer

The room and the subwoofer’s position affect the bass heard at each seat. Correction can help address parts of the measured response, but it does not move the subwoofer, remove reflective surfaces or make every seat identical. Placement remains important before and after calibration.

Check where measurements are taken and whether the system covers one listening position or several. Follow its setup instructions and keep the conditions consistent. Room correction is distinct from a manually adjustable equaliser or a receiver’s separate calibration system; either may exist without this function being built into the subwoofer.
