Mono Chassis Pair

Whether the product is supplied as two separate mono units, with one chassis for each stereo channel.

Separate mono chassis describe the physical arrangement of a stereo pair. Two independent channels inside one enclosure still form a single stereo chassis.

Mono Chassis Pair — Step-Up Transformer (SUT)

For a Phono Step-Up Transformer, separate mono units allow the left and right channels to be housed and positioned individually. This changes the space and cable arrangement needed around the turntable and phono stage.

“Yes” means a pair of separate units is supplied for stereo use. “No” includes a single stereo enclosure, even if it contains separate transformers or is described as dual mono. A single transformer intended for one mono cartridge is not a stereo pair.

Compare the supplied package as well as the description: a price or photograph may show only one unit. Separate boxes alone do not establish better channel separation or sound quality; the electrical design and complete installation still matter.
