Streamer Port
Whether the server has a dedicated Ethernet connection intended for a direct link to a network music player.
A streamer port identifies a specific network connection role. An ordinary second Ethernet socket does not by itself establish this feature.
Streamer Port — Music Server
On a Music Server, a dedicated streamer port can connect a player directly to the server while another connection links the server to the wider network. Its usefulness depends on the network arrangement the manufacturer supports and the equipment you want to connect.
“Yes” requires an explicitly designated direct-player connection. Multiple LAN sockets, an internal network switch or a fibre socket alone are insufficient to establish it. Missing information means the feature is unknown.
Check the supported connection and network setup before comparing this option with a conventional connection through your router or switch. The port carries network data, not an analogue audio signal, and its presence alone does not demonstrate better sound.
