Format
Super-tweeter format identifies whether the product is a finished add-on unit for general use or for particular loudspeakers.
An add-on super tweeter supplements a loudspeaker’s high-frequency output. A universal unit serves varied systems; a speaker-specific unit is intended for a named model or range. A raw driver is a component for construction or repair.
Format — Super Tweeter
A finished add-on provides a unit to place on or beside the main loudspeaker and connect as instructed. Its intended format helps establish whether integration is general or tied to a particular speaker design. Universal does not mean that every loudspeaker and amplifier combination is suitable.
Compare the required connection, level adjustment, crossover arrangement and placement. A speaker-specific upgrade should be matched to its stated host. A bare driver with mounting dimensions is not equivalent to a complete add-on and may need a housing and crossover. The format alone does not promise an audible benefit or seamless integration.
