SW Bands
Short-wave bands are the frequency ranges a tuner can receive in the short-wave part of the radio spectrum.
Coverage may be continuous or split into several named bands. Each range has its own lower and upper frequency limits, usually given in kHz or MHz.
SW Bands — Tuner
The limits show whether a station frequency falls within the tuner’s coverage. Separate SW1 and SW2 ranges may cover different parts of short wave; their endpoints matter more than the number of band labels. One megahertz equals one thousand kilohertz.
Compare the actual endpoints and any gaps, using matching units. A short-wave label alone does not establish continuous coverage. Medium wave and long wave are separate bands. Coverage also does not guarantee reception: the antenna, propagation and local interference affect the usable signal.
