Balanced-Ready

Balanced-ready describes a tonearm wired to feed a balanced phono input, which receives the cartridge’s small electrical signal.

The left and right channels each have their own pair of signal wires, separate from the arm’s chassis ground and shielding. With compatible equipment, this connection can reject interference picked up along the cable.

Balanced-Ready — Tonearm

An arm’s XLR output counts as Yes in this catalogue, but does not prove the complete connection is balanced. Check the makers’ guidance for a compatible cartridge, correctly wired cable and balanced phono input. Moving-magnet or moving-coil labels alone do not establish compatibility; some moving-magnet cartridges support balanced use. RCA sockets can also work where the maker documents suitable wiring.

No means confirmed unbalanced wiring. Missing information means unknown. For a complete turntable, this specification describes its fitted arm.
