Tonearm Wiring Capacitance
Tonearm wiring capacitance is the charge-storage property of its signal wiring, measured in picofarads (pF).
Check the scope: internal wiring only excludes the external lead; internal plus supplied cable includes it. If unspecified, leave the scope unknown. Keep stated length and per-channel conditions with the figure. A per-metre value needs the cable length: 50 pF/m × 1.2 m = 60 pF for that cable alone, not the whole arm path.

For a moving-magnet cartridge connected directly to a phono input, add internal wiring, external cable and input capacitance. Do not count the cable again if the arm figure already includes it.
Compare this total with the cartridge maker’s recommended load capacitance; the recommendation is a target, not another contribution. Loading can change high-frequency response, so the lowest wiring figure is not automatically the best match.
