1/4" TRS Input/Output

6.35 mm TRS Input/Output counts an equalizer’s balanced quarter-inch line connections, combining input and output sockets.

A balanced mono TRS connection uses tip and ring for the signal pair and sleeve for the associated shield connection. It is different from a stereo headphone jack, even though the plug can look similar. Unbalanced TS connections are a separate arrangement.

1/4" TRS Input/Output — Equalizer

Read the input/output split alongside the total so the intended channels are clear. For example, the total count does not tell you how many stereo paths the equalizer processes or whether alternative XLR sockets share those paths. Confirm direction before connecting a source or amplifier.

Use cables wired for the supported balanced or unbalanced configuration and check the connected equipment’s line levels. A plug fitting the socket does not establish compatibility. The count does not specify maximum level, noise rejection or independent processing; those depend on the circuitry, wiring and stated operating conditions.
