Tube Complement

Tube complement lists the vacuum-tube types and quantities used throughout a component.

The complete list can include tubes serving different circuit stages. A tube type identifies a component family, while its quantity shows how many are fitted.

Tube Complement — Headphone Amp

On a headphone amplifier, the tube complement may include input, driver, output or rectifier tubes as applicable to its design. A hybrid amplifier can combine tubes with solid-state stages, so the list alone does not describe the whole circuit.

Compare exact tube designations and quantities rather than assuming every listed tube amplifies the headphone output directly. Follow the amplifier’s specified replacement requirements; a similar-looking tube or matching pin count does not establish interchangeability. Keep tube complement separate from amplifier topology and from the number of audio channels.
