Tuner Bands

Tuner Bands identifies the radio broadcast bands or reception services a tuner supports.

Examples include FM, AM variants, DAB, DAB+ and internet radio. These use different reception methods, and support for one does not establish support for another. The list is separate from the tuning-frequency range, antenna connector count and any optional receiver module.

Match the supported system to the services available where the tuner will be used. A listed broadcast type does not guarantee reception of every local station, while internet radio depends on a network connection and the availability of the relevant service. Antennas and network interfaces should be checked separately.

Keep distinctions such as DAB versus DAB+ and medium-wave versus other AM bands explicit when they are stated. A broad radio label may hide those limits. The supported-band list says what the tuner can receive in principle; it does not measure sensitivity, selectivity, audio quality or how many station presets can be stored.
