Upper Frequency Limit

Upper Frequency Limit is the highest frequency included in a super tweeter’s stated operating range.

The value needs the response tolerance or measurement condition used to define the endpoint. A limit at a large level reduction is not directly comparable with a response bound measured much closer to the reference level.

Upper Frequency Limit — Super Tweeter

Read the upper limit together with the lower operating range and crossover requirements. The number does not show output level, distortion or dispersion at that frequency, and it does not describe how the super tweeter combines with the main speakers.

Extension above the audible range does not by itself establish an audible benefit. Compare like-for-like measurement conditions rather than ranking products by the largest frequency alone. Suitable wiring, level and crossover integration remain necessary regardless of the stated upper endpoint.
